Michael Stanton

Michael is a Managing Director, Deputy General Counsel, and Head of Private Funds Legal at iCapital, where he oversees fund formation and structuring of iCapital’s private funds, as well as all related legal and regulatory issues.

Prior to joining iCapital, Michael was Chief Compliance Officer and Associate General Counsel at DeMatteo Monness, LLC, a FINRA-registered brokerage firm, where he was responsible for the coordination of all supervisory activities and regulatory reporting as well as oversight of all legal and regulatory matters facing the firm. Michael holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 99 licenses, a BS from Binghamton University, and a JD from Boston University School of Law.
