Hannah Shaw Grove
Hannah Shaw Grove is a senior marketing leader with more than three decades of experience across financial services and technology, with deep expertise in brand building, growth strategy and market positioning.
Hannah first joined iCapital as its inaugural Chief Marketing Officer, later serving as Chief Marketing Officer at two growth-stage companies: Foundation Source, a provider of philanthropic infrastructure and services to financial services firms, and Apex Clearing, a custody and clearing platform serving fintech startups and digital brokerages. She returned to iCapital to build and lead its global brand and communications function, with responsibility for brand management, content strategy, communications & media relations and market intelligence. Earlier in her career, she held the Chief Marketing Officer role at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (prior to its acquisition by BlackRock) and strategic management roles at Prudential and Fidelity Investments.
She is a founder of Private Wealth magazine and has spent three decades studying and working with successful families, family offices, and their closest advisors on achieving their wealth management priorities. She is the author of 11 research-based books and hundreds of reports and articles on a wide range of topics pertaining to the creation, management, disposition and transfer of wealth. Her writing on family offices has been translated into Chinese and Japanese and she has been a regular contributor to Robb Report Lifestyle, Worth, Elite Traveler, Forbes.com, Financial Advisor, WealthManagement.com and Financial Planning.
Hannah has spoken on topics related to the high-net-worth markets at Columbia University’s Center for the Study of Wealth and Inequality and as a repeat guest lecturer at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. She graduated cum laude from Harvard University with an ALB in humanities, holds the FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, 26 and 63 licenses, and serves on the advisory board of Anasova, Inc., an AI-driven lead generation platform for financial services companies.
