Madeleine Dowling

Madeleine Dowling is iCapital’s Head of Regulatory and Compliance as well as a managing director. Prior to joining iCapital, Madeleine was the General Counsel of SIMON Markets LLC, which was acquired by iCapital in 2022.

Prior to SIMON, Madeleine was a longstanding partner at Sidley Austin LLP in the firm’s Securities and Derivates Regulatory Enforcement group. Over the course of her career, Madeleine advised broker-dealers and investment advisers on compliance with the federal securities laws and the rules of self-regulatory organizations. She also has extensive experience defending financial institutions in investigations brought by the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, FINRA, and the State Attorneys General.

She graduated from St. Lawrence University and received her law degree from Fordham University School of Law.
